What did you want to be when you grew up?

That's the theme for Wunderman Sydney's Christmas party this year. The invites were sent two weeks ago to much aplomb. Our clients love them and are very excited about our shin-dig to be held this Thursday night at Sydney's old School of the Arts, better known now as the ArtHouse Hotel.

The invites took the form of old school pencil cases, purple of course, covered in hand-drawn doodling and complete with the recipient's name in the letter pockets. A Wunderman badge added a touch of branding.

One of our client's loved it enough to post it on his facebook wall...

Inside, you found some purple bubblegum, a couple of pencils, a christmas chocolate and a personal note "For Your Eyes Only". Unfolded, the note torn from a schoolbook bore the invite details surrounded by elaborate hand-drawn doodles.

The invite directed recipients to whatyouwanttobe.com.au where they could RSVP, get advice from our online Careers Counsellor, and graffiti on the desktop when teacher's not looking. Unbeknownst to users, the graffiti function actually recorded their scribbles to be projected onto a large screen at the party alongside the artist's name. We're secretly hoping to see some very interesting... doodles.

The office is abuzz with everyone asking, "What did you want to be when you grew up?" with many keeping their costume secret until Thursday night.
