The simple raindrop has caused one of the largest natural disasters in Australia's 200-year history. Deadly and destructive flooding has swept through the state of Queensland, northern NSW, and now also Victoria.
The damage bill will be in the billions.
Wunderman Sydney has launched an appeal on behalf of the worldwide Wunderman network, asking for all international advertising agency networks, especially those with an office in Australia, to donate to the official government flood relief fund. For decades, the international advertising industry has benefited from Australia and the global community has been inspired by Australian creativity. Now it's time to give back.
Wunderman worldwide will match all Wunderman employee contributions dollar-for-dollar made at www.qld.gov.au/floods until 31 January 2011.
